Do your ESD workbenches have an earth point?
Yes. Every ESD workbench is fitted with an earth bonding point as standard, mounted to the frame beneath the worktop and marked with the ESD symbol. A wrist strap and coiled ground cord are supplied with the bench, so an operator can be earthed as soon as it is in place — there is nothing else to order.
What is an ESD workbench?
An ESD workbench is a work surface designed to prevent electrostatic discharge damaging sensitive electronic components. Static can damage semiconductors without any visible sign, so the failure often appears later in service rather than on the line. An ESD bench combines an anti-static work surface with an earth bonding point, so the operator and the surface are held at the same potential.
How much weight will an ESD workbench take?
350kg UDL — uniformly distributed load. If you need a higher rating for a specific application, call 0161 688 6737 and we will build to suit.
What sizes are available?
Worktops run from 1000 × 500mm to 1800 × 900mm, at a 840mm working height. If you need a size outside the standard range, we manufacture to order — call 0161 688 6737 or request a quote.
Are they supplied assembled?
Yes. Benches arrive fully welded and ready to use. The exception is added sockets or lighting, which are supplied unwired.
Can I specify drawers, shelving or benchtop electrics?
Yes. Drawers, cupboards, upper and lower shelves, pegboard, lighting rails and benchtop electrics can all be specified. Options and pricing are shown on each product page.
Do you supply against purchase orders?
Yes. We accept purchase orders and can issue a proforma invoice. Volume pricing is available on orders of five units or more.
